Energy Crisis
Empress Market
A Night View of Empress Market, Saddar, Karachi

I had observed a special quality among my fellow nationals of Pakistan, we love to accuse and blame the government, even for those crimes, we commit ourselves and tend to corrupt the politicians by bribing them and making illegal work hide in a cocoon not to be talked and not to be seen. Don’t we remember the wordings from the Quran Kareem that the monarch of the state would be set on us according to the traits of the subjects of that particular country by the Almighty? I suppose that explains it all. Today the energy crises we are experiencing are nothing more, nothing less, but part of that corruption only, we ourselves are a corrupt nation, yet we blame our head on crowns for being that. Are they from planet mars or aren’t they part of us? Our very own elected people…

Let us all stop the blame game for a little while and think, let us think how sincere we are with Pakistan, since I am discussing the current energy crises I will not drag beyond it, let me put a question to you all, since the beginning, had we taken any precautionary steps to avert the energy crises that we are experiencing today? Please be honest in response, well it is not that late yet, I thought of sharing some tips with you, and try making a difference, if we save energy, it will benefit us only. With the rising costs of fossil fuels and the current plight of global warming, saving energy should be supposed to be on everyone’s minds nowadays, but to my dismay, it is far beyond the thought of Pakistanis. However, there are plenty of energy-saving products on the market and a whole wealth of consumer choices to make. Unfortunately, sometimes people get a little bit overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. Is it enough to install energy-efficient light bulbs, turn the thermostat down a few degrees, and try to cook less food? Is it necessary to make a complete overhaul to our way of life, or can we preserve many of your organism consoles?

The process is not that difficult, all it requires is to start taking action today. Everyone agrees that you can make small changes to save energy, lower your costs, and help keep the world green. Energy-saving light bulbs is, of course, one of the best ways to do this. Even better, you can switch to a new, high-efficiency lighting scheme. LED lights use up a fraction of the energy of normal light bulbs and don’t have to be replaced for years. Although they can be one time expenses, they will more than pay for themselves and in the long run the best ways to save energy easily and reasonably cheaply. First and foremost is to use light shades while painting your home.

Cars use a huge amount of energy and, if you can eliminate unnecessary trips or carpool, you can definitely do a lot to decrease your environmental trajectory. The energy savings from this will be massive. Just remember one thing that saving energy doesn’t just save money, it also saves the planet. Use ceiling fans instead of the air conditioner as in the typical home, air conditioning uses more electricity than anything else. Of course, you’ll save the most money if you can learn to do without your AC at all. It’s definitely possible. I live in Karachi and have only rarely used AC. A combination of ceiling fans, insulation, and the other tips below keeps me comfortable — and saves me hundreds of rupees every summer and makes me a tolerant person in the frequent power outbreaks while others keep grumbling and shouting. I could in an estimate take a trip to Lahore every year from what I save by not using AC. All I do is Clean or replace my AC filter every month. A dirty filter makes your AC work harder, which uses more electricity and place the condensers in the shade use up to 10% less electricity than those in direct sunlight.

Most people prefer to sleep with covers; even though that traps the heat our body creates. So we can run an expensive AC to cool the whole house just so we can be comfortable under the covers…or we can simply use a Bed fan. It’s a small, gentle fan that operates right under the covers. Why didn’t someone think of this before? This could be great for people who experience night sweats or hot flashes. And you won’t have to run an expensive AC all night long. Just time your AC and that’s all.

Furthermore, it is what you need to adjust your lifestyle accordingly as well, as I did; I dress warmly to use less heat. I dress cool to use less air conditioning. I close doors & windows tight, so heat or ac does not seep out. I do not leave the refrigerator door open; I decide what I want to eat before I open it! I turn off lights & appliances right after I finish with them. I take baths instead of showers so that I use less water, as I love earth my home, and it is only these few things we learn to incorporate in our lives we can be better citizens of Pakistan and better Muslims as well as for our religion teaches us to create balance and truly said creating that right balance is the essence of life.

  3. According to Islamic legal, political and caliphate system all citizens of the countries where Islamic constitution is in place, must be treated with justice, fairness and equality, despite their creed, ethnicity, color, religion etc.
Ahmadies, Mirzai, or Qadiyanies, must not insist on being Muslims, or claiming to be Muslims for the most important fundamental part of the Islamic Belief system is denied by them, that is the finality of prophet Muhammad pbuh. They are our brothers in humanity, they deserve like anyone of us to be treated equally……the only people deserve the title “Muslims” are those who declare their faith the way it is required to be declared in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani, in the light of his own writings and fatwas considered by the whole Muslim community of believers an imposter.
